Knock on Wood is a new collaboration between vocalist/percussionist Sanne Huijbregts (EvenSanne) and drummer/percussionist Joost Lijbaart (Under the Surface, Yuri Honing).

For this unusual lineup, they have dug deep into their musical toy box to unearth all manner of instruments and beautiful sonorities. Pitched percussion is key to the identity of the band, the sounds of vibraphone, marimba and glockenspiel form the basis above which the voice can take flight. Huijbregts’ songwriting and pop sensibility meets the freely improvised soundscapes and delicate grooves of Lijbaart. The result is a genre defying dreamscape of loops, lyricism and intimate compositions.
